Biscuit factory Monastra was born in 1958 in a small town in the Nebrodi area, Castell'Umberto. From a simple family-run biscuit factory, specialized in traditional Sicilian products, the biscuit factory Monastra has grown and established itself in the area. Today the company mainly uses raw materials from organic farming. Among its products the "Benfatti", nomen omen, high quality biscuits, perfect for a simple and genuine breakfast, delicious and full of taste. Benfatti are all produced with raw materials from organic farming (including eggs from free-range hens) and processed with the so-called "wire cutting", a method that makes the surface of the biscuit rougher, enhancing its crunchiness and making them perfect for be drenched.
